Are we saving money?
|
What do you think about this topic? I often hear people around me say that there is no need to save money. Many people insist that what will be left over someday? Money should be turned while it can be turned, not cut down. It is true that we should enjoy life to the fullest and should not cut back when we don\’t have to. However, one must be careful and consider the back door.
Saving money?
In my personal opinion, it is definitely a good idea to build financial reserves. You never know what might happen. From my own experience, although I had reserves, they were still not enough. We are talking mainly about illness here, and illness is not something you can control. Remember here that the state demands money from you anyway, and it doesn\’t matter if you are sick or not (e.g. health insurance). Also, in this situation, you need to pay rent, buy food and medicine. You cannot rely on government benefits that you may not receive. It is a good idea to set aside a certain amount each month. Even if you are not sick, you may lose your income in a given month. You should also consider contingencies such as illness, purchase of new appliances, loss of income, etc.
You should only set aside as much money as you can manage; there is no need to set aside large amounts of money if you do not have the means to do so. You can save in a special checking or savings account, or even in your home. The way you save is up to you. You will need the money later when unforeseen circumstances arise. You will be able to maintain a certain standard of living for a while. In addition, you need to take into account that you will also need to pay back any repayments that may be due. Of course, if you get sick or have some other contingency, you can consult with the bank and postpone repayment, but this is not always possible. Think of a back-up plan and set aside even a few yen a month. It is never good to live paycheck to paycheck and have no reserves. I myself know it\’s not easy these days and without enough income it\’s hard to save if you have a family. At least try to save something.
