How elections work

Elections are an integral part of the democratic process. But there are always those who come to them for the first time. These people are usually very anxious and do not know exactly what to do, especially if their parents did not take them to the polling station as children. It is no harm to see what is really waiting for them.

The first problem they solve is what to wear. In fact, it does not matter. Because the promotion of any of the entities elected at the polling station is prohibited, they will only be kicked out of the polling station if they are dressed to promote either the party or the candidate. But it is better to dress more neatly. They often decide what to take with them. In fact, all you need is an ID. True, you can take only ballots, or tickets for those who want to vote, but if you forget about them, nothing will happen – the commission will issue another set at your request.

As for behavior, it is recommended not to speak loudly or turn on the music. We should not care about other voters. Of course, if you go with friends, you can enjoy together normally, but there is no problem with this.

The whole process is carried out in such a way that first go to the appropriate member of the commission (everyone is assigned a surname that begins with a certain letter) and give him an id card. See if it really is you and see if you are here to vote. This is important if someone wants to vote on your behalf later.

Then he will give you an envelope and with it you will go for a lot. You have to be alone behind it, so if someone is already there, you have to wait. You can\’t go with other family and friends. Here you put your vote in an envelope, or if you have not yet done this at home, you can still circle any of the candidates with a ready-made pencil. As a final step, put the envelope you voted in the ballot box and leave the polling place.

As you can see, this is not a difficult process, but it is good to know what awaits us, so as not to be surprised. After all, elections really matter.
